Goals

Literacy Goal- I will attend a training, a conference, or workshop and collaborate with my PLC to gain a better understanding of ways to integrate literacy and the arts so that 85% of fifth grade students will be proficient in writing an informative piece of writing using precise lanuage and domain specific vocabulary to inform or explain the topic as measured by a writing non negoitable inspired rubric.

Technology Goal- I will attend a training, a conference, or workshop and collaborate with my PLC to gain a better understanding of ways to integrate technology and the arts so that 100% of fifth graders will apply digital tools to gather, evaluate, and use information as measure by a pre and post test.

  • Students had at least a 10% increase in sucess identifying key domain specific vocabulary terms
  • Our highest improved terms were improvisation, iMovie, and choreography
  • Overall, 85% of fifth graders at ESS successfully learned about dance and choreography by using digital tools to gather, evaluate and use information.

 

  • When scoring our lyrics through our writing rubric we had 3 groups score a 30 points or higher overall.
  • Our highest scoring area on our writing rubric were: introduction, solid chorus, relating information, and spelling.
  • We had 5 or more groups out of 8 score proficient or higher in several categories.
  • Overall, 70% of fifth graders at ESS are proficient in writing an informative piece of writing using precise language and domain specific vocabulary to inform or explain the topic.
