" I am a person who stands out in a crowd,
and I walk down the road less taken.
I strive to help others be who they want to be,
and understand that difference and equality can live harmoniously.
I seek out adventure and cannot wait,
for the surprise around the next corner.
I fight for what I believe but can compromise when I feel the need.
I try to create a beautiful world down every open highway,
even though I speed along.
I am who I am and I'm ready to bring it on." ~KT
My name is Catherine Dwinal and I am a graduate of Plymouth State University with a certification in Music Education K-12. I started out playing the flute in 4th grade and started taking private lessons with Marc Elbaum in 5th grade. I continued with private lessons until senior year of high school and continued with the flute up to present day. In 7th grade I also picked up the piccolo which I also still currently play. I graduated from Laconia High School in 2005 and started at Plymouth State University soon after.
Being a NH resident all of my life I have come to enjoy the great outdoors with various activities such as camping and kayaking. I am very devoted to my family as well, my parents and sister have supported me in everything I have done in my life and I would not have all the collected life experiences I have without them. I also have a large interest in world music, which lead me to play several world instruments which include the djembe and bagpipes. Due to this love of world music I aspire to attend graduate school for Ethnomusicology.
I am employed for the 2010-2011 school year! I will be teaching general music grades K-5 in the Laconia School District!
I am available for flute gigs and classroom demonstrations for bagpipes, civil war fife, or world percussion. Please feel free to use the quick contact page as well to contact me!
